Shonda Broadnax- Melendez Obituary (1965

Shonda Broadnax-Melendez, born June 29, 1965 passed away unexpectedly Friday, August 3, 2012. The most giving and loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt and friend, she slipped away from our arms to soon into eternal peace. Shonda had the most vibrant personality and giving heart of any angel on Earth. A caring compassionate woman who touched everyone she came across. Cared deeply for her family and often mentioned how lucky she was to have them. She was a very hard working woman who dedicated 24 years of her life to the admitting department of Bridgeport Hospital. Shonda leaves behind on earth her beautiful Mother Patricia Broadnax, father Bobbie Broadnax, Sr.; daughter Chrishonia Lugo (Angel Lugo) and son, Ren Melendez Jr. both of West Haven, brothers Bobbie Broadnax, Jr., Dennis Broadnax (Margarita Broadnax), James Sparrow and sisters Cherise Ryan (Keith Ryan) from Snellville, GA and Minlease Roebuck; she also left behind a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Rest our beautiful Shonda till we meet again and know we will keep and protect your memory forever in our hearts. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Mount Aery Baptist Church, on 73 Frank St Bridgeport, Ct 06604. Viewing will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and services beginning at 11 a.m., and burial at Park City Cemetery immediately following.
