Selvyn Maxwell Simpson Obituary (1943

Selvyn Maxwell Simpson age 78, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Norwalk Hospital. Selvyn Maxwell Simpson was born in the parish of St. Ann, Jamaica on April, 9, 1943 to Gertrude and Eric Simpson. He is one of 8 siblings. He attended Waltham Primary school for his education. In the 1980's he came to the United States for better work opportunities. In his early years, he held many jobs such as a car washer and a Mason. In his later years, Selvyn loved to plant various vegetables in his garden and take daily walks to the City Marker or to the convenience store to play his lottery tickets. He was a very good cook and loved to make homemade Chicken Soup, Callaloo, Fried Chicken, he also loved to bake "Pudding". Selvyn had a hearty appetite and his favorite foods was Fried Chicken, Chicken Soup, Baked Macaroni and Cheese, and his homemade pudding. He was quiet but a generous individual who loved to tell occasional jokes. He was greatly loved and will be missed by his family. He leaves behind three siblings, Eva James, Avrille Djeddi and Cova Simpson. His nieces and nephews, Shauna James, Wendy James, Rhaines James and Carlos James, in addition to various maternal relatives. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 11:00 AM, Baker Funeral Services, 84 South Main Street, Norwalk, CT. Family will meet and greet friends from 10:30 AM until time of service. Interment will be private.
