Rose Bostic-Carrington

Rose Bostic-Carrington, former long-time resident of Brookfield, CT, quietly departed this life on May 5, 2017. Rose was born on June 20, 1936, in Garnett, SC, to the late Susan Elizabeth and Fred Bostic.
Rose was a member of Bethel AME Church in Stamford, CT. She owned her own beauty shop in Danbury, CT, from the mid-1960s to 1972 and later worked for 25 years as a beautician for Fairfield Hills Hospital in Newtown, CT, until her retirement in 1997.
Rose is predeceased by her parents, her husband Richard W. Carrington; her siblings, Louise G. Poindexter of Stamford, CT, Clarence "CL" Bostic, of Denmark, SC, Freddie Bostic of Hartford, CT, and Joyce Bostic of Stamford, CT.
Left to cherish many precious memories are her children, Kevin B. Carrington of Bridgeport, CT, and Kathy L. Carrington of Nathalie, VA; her sister, Carolyn Best, of Stamford, CT; her sisters-in-law, Beatrice Britton of South Boston, VA; Marion Crawley of Nathalie, VA and Lydia Carrington of New Brunswick, New Jersey.
A wake will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 6:00 pm 8:00 pm at Bethel AME Church, 150 Fairfield Avenue Stamford, CT 06902. Funeral Services will take place Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 11:00 am, Reverend Robert Jackson officiating. Internment will take place at Woodland Cemetery, 66 Woodland Place; Stamford CT.
