Primus Jackson III, age 68, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, February 4, 2021.
Primus leaves behind a wife, Sylvia Jackson, 4 step children, 14 grandchildren, and 1 step great grandchild. He also leaves behind a God brother, Brandon Blank, sister/cousin, Beverly Simpson Blank and a host of aunts and uncles, and cousins. Deacon Primus Jackson was a beloved Deacon of Mount Aery Baptist Church. Hes proceeded by his father Primus Jackson, Jr, his mother Izola Simpson Jackson, and one brother, Gerald Jackson.
Primus attended Central High School in Bridgeport, he then attended Wilberforce University in Ohio. As a young child Primus played little league baseball as well as pop-warner football. As we all know, Primus was a hard worker, he worked at Peoples Bank for some years. Primus then went on to work for the City of Bridgeport, a job he loved. Primus would go out in a snow storm to work; whenever someone would call, Primus would be there. Primus would even work when he didnt feel well. You would never know that he didnt feel good because he always had a good attitude and a beautiful smile on his face doing it. Primus loved going south to his familys 100 acre estate in Greenville, SC and Anderson, SC. Primus loved all things Eagles. He loved going to football games, he never let his illness stop him from watching a game, or talking about it. He saw many games in person.
This was supposed to be the year to see the Eagles play live. The November 2020 Eagles game against the Cowboys, he told his son in law, we need to go see them play in person. When the Eagles spanked the Cowboys 23-9, Primus, with the side smile said, "Sorry Tim."
Primus will be missed in the body form, but his spirit lives on. Although Primus came from a large family, he had more family than one person could ask for; he had his wifes family, his church family, work family, and friends who became family.
