Nancy E. Clark

Nancy Ellen Clark, after a lengthy illness and a mighty battle died Thursday, October 2, 2008 at the Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland surrounded by family and friends. Nancy, a native of Norwalk, was born on May 20, 1958 and was the youngest daughter of Essie McClendon Clark and the late Albert Clark.
Nancy was a bank manager in Stamford and worked in accounting with SER Solutions before relocating to Virginia. Living in Leesburg, she worked as a Customer Value Account Manager for LaFarge North America, Inc. A graduate of Brien McMahon, she attended the University of Hartford majoring in Accounting. Nancy celebrated family and friendship. She will be remembered for her quick smile, gift for gab, willingness to share her opinion, strong work ethic and always looking for the joy in life. Her greatest joy was the many children, young and old, in her life. She was the Pied Piper and she took her role seriously.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by four sisters, Shirley and Linda Clark of Stratford, Kathleen Wright (Gregory) of Upper Marlboro, Maryland and Alberta Brooks of Washington D.C. She was a devoted and loving aunt to Gregory and Matthew Wright; the greatest friend to Judy Weldon Canty and several cousins and friends. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Sterling, Virginia.
Services will be held at Grace Baptist Church, where she committed to the Lord as a teenager.
Her family will receive friends from 11:30 AM until the Home Going Services at noon at the church located at 17 West Avenue, Norwalk, Friday, October 10, 2008. Interment will be private.
