Edward Lee Sturdivant, Sr. Obituary (1937

Edward Sturdivant, Sr., age 74, of Bridgeport, was called to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on June 26, 2012. Prior to his death at Bridgeport Hospital, he was born on December 8, 1937 in Clover, VA. His family later migrated to Baltimore, MD where he received his formal education. Later on in 1963 Ed made Bridgeport his permanent home. He retired from Textron (Avco Lycoming) after providing more than 25 years of service. He leaves to cherish his memories, 2 sons, Edward Sturdivant, II of Bridgeport, CT, and Mark (Tonya) Sturdivant, of Naugatuck, CT; longtime companion, Mildred Derle; brothers, James Sturdivant of Virginia, and, Frederick Sturdivant of Maryland; 6 grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 2, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Marks Episcopal Church, 410 Newfield Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06607. Calling hours will be held from 10:00 AM until time of services. Interment in Mt. Grove Cemetery, Easton, CT.
