We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of a truly beloved woman, Delois Margie Ezekiel, known affectionately by her family and friends as Baby Lois, Grams, Baby, and Baby Lo-Kat. Born on July 1, 1938, in Danville, Virginia, Delois graced this world with her presence for 87 beautiful years. She was a beacon of love, compassion, and support, touching the hearts of many with her thoughtful nature and unwavering dedication to those she cherished. Delois resided in Bridgeport, Connecticut, where she lived out her golden years surrounded by the love and joy of her family.
Delois was a remarkable woman whose life was characterized by her love for her family. She was a dedicated caretaker, a role that suited her compassionate and nurturing personality. In her free time, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as completing crossword puzzles, watching her favorite stories, and cooking for her family. These hobbies were not just pastimes for Delois, but ways to express her love and care for those around her. As Maya Angelou once said, "The ache for home lives in all of us, the safe place where we can go as we are and not be questioned." For many, Delois' home was that safe haven, filled with love, understanding, and the most delightful aromas from her kitchen.
Delois leaves behind a treasured legacy in her surviving children, Micheal Ezekiel, Darlene Ezekiel, and Janet Webb, who will forever cherish their memories of her. She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Lois Blaine, and her sons, Steven Blaine and Edward Ezekiel. As we remember Delois, we celebrate the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the light she brought into this world.
We invite you to share your memories of Delois on her memorial page. Your stories, pictures, and tributes will serve as a testament to her life and the love she shared. As we reflect on Delois' life, let us remember her as the loving, compassionate, supportive, and thoughtful woman that she was, and let her legacy continue to inspire us.
