Bridgeport, Connecticut
Christopher Bernard Mann, 36, of Bridgeport (formerly of Norwalk), Connecticut, the beloved son of Linda L. Custis and Joseph E. Mann, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 7, 2018. For us, his departure was sudden and unexpected and he will be greatly missed.
Christopher was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on April 8, 1982 and was relocated to Norwalk, Connecticut in December of 1987. Chris was brought up in the church, participated in an active way and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age. He was baptized at the New Light Missionary Church under the Pastoral Leadership of the Rev. Dr. Phillip Charles Joubert, Sr. He matriculated in the Norwalk Public School System and went on to obtain several certifications in a variety of trades. Chris was employed by 911 Restoration as a Disaster Restoration Technician. Chris enjoyed work and excelled in whatever he did. He was always focused and gave each task that he was engaged in his very best effort. This was recognized and rewarded over and over.
Chris was a very kind and caring individual who was always trying to lift others up with both his words and his actions. Family friends and even strangers appreciated being in his presence because he was such an encouraging and concerned person. He loved to talk and was never hesitant in engaging you in conversation on pretty much any subject. To know Chris, was to love him. Chris was an optimistically happy person, never complaining about anything and always looking forward with excitement about what was ahead of him.
Christopher is survived by his parents; Linda L. Custis of Stamford, CT and Joseph E. (Shirley) Mann of Norwalk, CT, a brother; Lindell L. Mann of Norwalk, CT, grandparents; Betty Custis of Stamford, CT and Leslie E. and Harriet J. Mann of Norwalk, CT, an uncle; Michael A. Brown of Bronx, NY, four aunts; Rev.
