Arabelle Bonds Obituary (1948

Arabelle Auntie Bonds was born May 8, 1948 on St. Helena Island, SC to the late Marion and Viola Bonds. She is a graduate of St. Helena High School. After graduating from high school, she moved to Stamford, CT where she has been a resident for fifty years. Auntie was a member of Wilson Memorial Church of God In Christ for over forty years where she served on the Heavenly Zion Choir. In 1971 Arabelle graduated from J.M. Wright Technical High School obtaining a certificate in business. Arabelle was a very hard worker. In 2010 she retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 24 years of service. She loved to travel and take cruises. She leaves to cherish her loving memory one aunt, Mary Holmes of SC; one brother, Sam Bonds; and two sisters, Juanita Bonds Annie Mae Bonds, all of St. Helena, GA; six Godchildren, Kenneth Fagan, Curtis Carter, Leslie Carter, Samuel Bonds, Jr., Felicia C. Fields and Samyra Bonds. She had two long time friends, Mildred Francillon and Leola Jackson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends; two cruising buddies, Josephine and Nina Smalls.
