Abe Jalil Prior Obituary (1987

Abe Jalil Prior age 30, received his wings to glory on Monday, August 28, 2017 in Bronx, New York. Abe graduated from Norwalk High School in 2005 and attended Hesser College Massachusetts for 2 years. He was currently employed with Rings End of Darien CT, for over 10 years. Abe was an avid sports player from the age of 5, thanks to his mom, who was his number one fan in the stands, encouraging him on at every game. He started his sports career in the "Peanut Basketball League" at the Norwalk YMCA. Then the "Buddy League", Hesser College Basketball Team" and travelled all over the Tri-State area. Abe also dominated the "Pop Warner Circuit" and the "Adult Basketball League". One thing we all know is that Boubie loved his family and would do anything for them. He conquered so many things in his life and that made him full of life. If you were around him, you were definitely in for some laughter and fun. He will be truly missed by all. Abe was predeceased by his sister, Tiava Higgs, his grandmothers Glessie Prior and Anne Melton, his grandfathers, Abe James Prior and Richard Melton Sr. Abe leaves to cherish his mother, Terano Prior of Norwalk, CT. and father Joseph Melton Sr. of North Carolina. His daughter and son Amaya and Adrian Prior of Norwalk and his lifelong companion, Olga Molses of Norwalk, CT. Abe also leaves to cherish his brothers, Desmont Battle of Norwalk, CT., Joseph Melton Jr. of Bridgeport, CT., Joseph A Melton of Stamford, CT. and Tevin Melton of North Carolina. In addition, Abe also leaves to cherish his sisters, Andrea Melton, Yashika Higgs-Blair both of Norwalk CT., and Jalissa Melton of North Carolina. In addition, Abe leaves to cherish his extended family Jamarr Johnson, Dreime Battle, Mikol Johnson, Paul Stewart, Varun Yethrajum and Markus McElveen and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 11:00 AM, Calvary Baptist Church, 21 Concord Street, Norwalk, CT. Family will receive guest from 9:00 AM until time of service at the church. Entombment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk, CT.
