Willie Jasper Tyson, Jr. passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 19, 2014. Willie referred to as Bud and Tyson by close friends, was born on June 28, 1943 in Pitt County, Farmville, NC. Tyson was employed by The United States Postal Service for 30 years until his retirement in 2000. Buds memory will be cherished by his mother, Pearlie Mae Tyson of NC; 5 daughters, Shereda Tyson, Alice Sonia Brickhouse, Marvedia Tyson, Valerie Tyson all of CT, and Pam Ehlers of CA; 4 grandsons, Kenneth Brickhouse, Sr. of CT, Darryl Bell, Jr. of NC, Michael Terry, Jr. of CT and Soren Ehlers of CA; 1 granddaughter, Raeven Gibson of CT; 1 great-granddaughter, Carolina Elizabeth Bell of CT, 1 great-grandson, Kenneth Brickhouse, Jr.; 1 brother, Earl Tyson of MD; 2 sisters, Jestine Brown of MD and Christine Tyson of NC; a nephew, Earl Tyson, Jr. of MD, two childhood friends, Charles Edward Williams of CT and Sam "Brother Love" Newton of NC; and a dear companion whom he adored Shirley Evans of CT and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 12:00 PM at Parkway Assembly of God 260 New Canaan Avenue Norwalk, CT. Friends may greet the family from 10:00 AM until time of service. Repast immediately following the service. Interment will take place in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens Farmville, NC.
