Sonjinetta Cooper-Searight Obituary (1965

Sonjinetta Cooper-Searight, 48, loving wife of Andsel Searight,entered into eternal rest at home on Thursday, August 21, 2014. Netta, as she was affectionately known by her family was born on November 16, 1965 to Warren Cooper and Marilyn Jones in Bridgeport, CT. She graduated from Kolby Cathedral High School and attended Sacred Heart University in Bridgeport, CT, and was currently enrolled at the University of Phoenix in New York. Netta relocated to Cohoes, New York in 2006, where she was gainfully employed by Mental Health Empowerment, and she was the founder of Genesis Network. Netta was a Disciple of Blessing Cornerstone Ministries, Watervleit, NY, under the Discipleship of Pastor Debra Poole. Netta loved her family and clients, she would advocate for them to the fullest. She never raised her voice, she was honest, hated cnfrontation, wanted peace for everyone, and stood strong on being a black woman. She had a love for music that spoke to her soul, live bands, eating, trying new foods, dancing, fashion, and she was the life of the party. Left to cherish Nettas memory in addition to her husband and parents are her Children, Sonjinetta, Armoni and Zion; Sisters, Juliette (Jessie) Lopez, Jackie Cooper, Ebonie (George) Johnson, Tiffany Cambridge,Tynisha Cooper, and Farrah Cooper; Brother, James Jones; Aunts, Evelyn, Linda, Tina, Anita, Mary Alice, Sarah, Lois and Donna; Uncles, Gary, Corbin, Larry and Edward, a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins,and Friends. She was predeceased by her Aunts, Sally, Barbara, Carrie and Dorothy; Uncles, Sam, Michael, Toot and Mark. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Messiah Baptist Church 210 Congress Street, Bridgeport, CT 06604. Friends may greet the family from 9:00 AM until time of service. Interment immediately following service at Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT.
