Robert 'Brown' Reid Obituary (1946

Robert Edward Reid, affectionately known as Brown, was born on July 8, 1946 in Zebulon, North Carolina. He was a long time resident of Bridgeport and Stratford, CT. Robert departed this life suddenly on April 5, 2011 at Bridgeport Hospital. Robert is survived by his wife, Dorothy Reid; children, Wallace Jones of NC, Alicia Reid, Edward Reid, Lakeisha Johnson-Reid, Lisa Bubose, and Mia Pettway (Kacy) of CT, Masheila Gantt (Joey) of KS, and Reginald DuBose of MD; 25 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Morgan of NC and Catherine Lewis (Haywood) of CT; brother Thomas Reid of CT; and a host of close nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by parents Thomas and Pearl Reid; son, Robert E. Reid JR (El); and 4 siblings. Funeral services will take place Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Friendship Baptist Church, 225 Albert Street, Stratford, CT 06615. The viewing will begin at 9:00 A.M. until time of service at 10:00 A.M. Interment immediately following the service at Lakeview Cemetery.
