Deacon Ricky Lewis Cherry was born to the late McCoy & Lela Mae Cherry. He was a resident of Norwalk, CT. He departed this life on February 29, 2016 in Norwalk, CT. Deacon Cherry was a past student of Brian McMahon in Norwalk, CT. He was an ordained Deacon and member of Zion Healing Ministry Apostolic Church in Bridgeport, CT for over 10 years and served in different offices. He was married to Schina Knight and to their union; Ricky Jr & Cody Cherry were born. He leaves to cherish his memory, his three children; Ricky Jr, Cody Cherry and Ellis Evans. Two brothers; Melvin Eugene Cherry of Stamford, CT and Michael McCoy of Mississippi. One sister; Demetrice Candace Keys of Ahoskie, North Carolina; two nieces; Monae J. Cherry, Christina M. Cherry and a cousin; Jean Walden, along with a host of other cousins, relatives and friends. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at Baker Isaac Funeral Chapel, 985 Stratford Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.
