Para H. Rosario Obituary (1946

Para H. Rosario age 67, of Bridgeport, CT, entered into eternal rest on May 26, 2014. Born on November 1, 1946 to the late Augusta and Jessie Harper. She was a graduate of Bluefield State College where she became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Para also was a past member of First Baptist Church of Stratford and most recently, East End Baptist Tabernacle Church. After 30 years, Para retired as Deputy Director of Housing and Community Development for the City of Bridgeport. During this time she was recognized by many organizations for her dedication and work in community development, which led to her being elected President of the National Community Development Association. Para was the founder of Bridgeports Black Pride and Owner of TreyMarc, LLC, a professional consulting firm. Para leaves behind her Son, Jaime Rosario of Stratford, CT; Grandsons, Alvin Rosario, III and Marcus Rosario; Sisters, Dorothy Harper of Bridgeport, CT and Gloria Lee of New Haven, CT. Also, she leaves a host of nieces, nephews and many friends to remember her. She was predeceased by both her parents, sisters and brothers Faye, Willie, Sehra, Sylvester and Irene. Friends may greet the family on Monday, June 2, 2014 from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM at Baker-Isaac Funeral Services, 985 Stratford Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06607. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at 10:00 AM at East End Baptist Tabernacle Church 548 Central Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06607. Interment at Lakeview Cemetery immediately following service.
