Octavia Renee Lee Obituary (1969

Octavia Renee "Peanut" Lee passed away peacefully on November 2, 2020 at the age of 51. She was born on July 19, 1969 in Columbia, South Carolina to Cornelius Steadman and Lillian Cloud Lee. Octavia was in retail sales for many years. Her memory will be treasured by her two sisters, Donna Lee-Reid (Ronald) and Jacinta Lee, one brother Mark Steadman, her grandmother Bernice Bailey and her "companion" Curtis Jeffreys. She is also survived a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, including her niece Teshawn "Octavia" Hudson with whom she had a special relationship. Peanut always blessed you with a beautiful smile that would light up a room and a charismatic personality along with it, she would walk around singing all the time. She was a special sister with a kind heart. Peanut was a firm believer in God and would just pop up at a service for prayer. Peanut was predeceased by her father Cornelius Steadman, her mother Lillian Lee, her sister Venus Steadman and her nephew James Ruffin. Services to be held on Sunday November 15, 2020 at The Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, 729 Union Ave Bridgeport, CT with viewing at 4pm 5 pm and service officiated by Overseer Kenneth Moales Jr. to follow. Peanut is no longer in pain and has gone home to sing in The Heavenly Choir, Rest on Octavia we love you always Please wear your masks, you will not be able to enter without one.
