Mildred Hardy Obituary (1932 - 2022)

Mildred Adassa Hardy transitioned peacefully on Thursday March 3, 2022 at the age of 89. A longtime resident of Westport, Millie was affectionately known to many, was born in St. Thomas, Jamaica West Indies on May 30, 1932 to Urina and Alexander Hardy. Mildred migrated from Jamaica to the US approximately 56 years ago. She has been working for the Minute Men Cleaners in Westport for 50 plus years where she has held many different positions. Millie loved her family and loved working at the Minute Men Cleaners. The customers as she interacted daily with them, often times telling them about her son and daughter. She was a God fearing woman who loved the Lord. Mildred leaves behind to cherish her memory a son Ronald (Denise) Richardson of Bridgeport Ct. a daughter Valerie (Robert) Knuckles of Bridgeport, CT., grand daughters Ronsie Richardson and Hannah Knuckles, grandson Patrick Bailey a host of nieces, nephew and loving family members and friends. She is predeceased by her parents Urina Hardy and Alexander Hardy, her siblings Alvin Hardy and Winston Hardy. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 12.00 Noon, Baker Funeral Services, 84 South Main Street, Norwalk, CT. Family will meet and greet from 11:30 AM till the time of service at the chapel. Interment will be private.
