Lowan O Thomas Obituary (1960

Lowan I love Jesus Thomas was born on January 10, 1960 and passed peacefully in his sleep on Monday, August 15, 2016 at the age of 56. Chubby known to his family and LT to the community graduated from Warren Harding High School. He spent most of his life in Bridgeport, CT. LT was a gentle giant, he was a humorist, he loved animals and he always took care of everybody else. He had a generous heart and an enormous smile to go along with it. Even though he struggled through his own life he was blessed with the gift of seeing. He had a very special relationship with the Lord and often shared stories with us and others about all of the people who came to visit him. Lowan I Love Jesus was preceded in death by his father McKinley Thomas and stepfather Alva ONeal Sr. He is survived by his loving mother, Lauretta ONeal of Beaufort, South Carolina, one son Lowan Thomas II of Atlanta, (GA), A daughter, Vanessa M. Thomas, also of Atlanta (GA), care givers and sisters, Deborah Thomas-Sims and Joan Thomas, of Bridgeport, CT, his brother Alva and Mature ONeal of Atlanta (GA), two brother-in-laws, Vaughn Sims, Sr and Ernest Oden of Bridgeport, CT. two Loving grandchildren, Lowan Thomas III, and Kailah Thomas (SC). A niece, Aimee & Benny Morant (TX), and three nephews, Vaughn Sims, Jr., Casen Thomas, and Isaiah Oden all of CT. A devoted Cousin Patricia Anderton, (NY) He is also survived by a hosts of family and friend. We are grateful for the time we shared with I Love Jesus, his spirit, the lessons he taught us, and most importantly in his final days the love of Jesus he spread. Burial will be private.
