Jonathan Stroman Obituary (1961 - 2023)

Jonathan Stroman, affectionately known as "Jo Boy" transitioned peacefully into eternal rest on Friday, June 23, 2023, at the age of 62, with his family by his side. Jonathan was born on February 20, 1961, in Orangeburg, South Carolina to the late David Stroman and the late Sarah Sellers Stroman. Jonathan attended school in Elloree, South Carolina and graduated from Elloree High School Class of 1979. After graduation he relocated to Queens, New York before joining his family in Norwalk, Connecticut. Jonathan enjoyed working and worked for several companies including Amphenol Nexus Technologies from 2011 until 2021 when he became ill. Jonathan was baptized at an early age and enjoyed going to church, where he attended Unified Purposed Fellowship Ministries, Bridgeport, Connecticut. When he was not working, at church, in his spare time, he enjoyed dancing, cooking with family, or taking his daily walks to Veterans Park and throughout the community. Jonathan always brought joy wherever he went. He was a kind and caring individual who had a contagious laugh and a zest for life. He would often be found cracking jokes and telling stories. His presence was always a bright spot in the day and his laughter could light up any room in the night. All who knew Jonathan knew the strong relationship and bond he had with his children and grandchildren. In addition, Jonathan was compassionate, dedicated and loved his family and friends, and praised them for the love they shared with him. He was one-of-a-kind with a heart of gold and saw the good in everyone he met and never hesitated to help those in need. Jonathan was a man who truly understood the importance of family and leaves a legacy of love to cherish his memories; a son, Aerrion Necatera of Norwalk, Connecticut, a grandson, Aiden Trusty of Norwalk, Connecticut; three sisters, Leatha Sumpter of Orangeburg, South Carolina, Shirley Stroman and his twin JoAnn Stroman of Norwalk, Connecticut; a brother Bennie Lee (Annie) Booth of Hemingway, South Carolina; many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of beloved sorrowing friends. In addition to his parents, Jonathan is predeceased by four siblings; William Felder, David Stroman, Jr., Allan Sellers and Carrie Stroman. His love for his family was steadfast and unwavering, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He will always be remembered as a man who truly understood the importance of family.
