James Anthony 'Tony' Walton Obituary (1969

James Anthony (Tony) Walton was called home on August 15, 2009. Tony was born in Bridgeport, CT April 8, 1969 to the late Mr. James (Walt) Walton of Bridgeport and Ms. Joan G. (Foster) Stokes of Detroit, MI. Tony was raised by his aunt, Sarah Watson of Bridgeport who was a mother to him and instilled good wholesome values in him from the age of 2. Tony graduated from Central High School class of '88. In 1991 he joined the United States Army and served in Operation Dessert Storm (The Persian Gulf War). After receiving an honorable discharge, he worked multiple jobs saving lives, such as becoming a CNA, a certified EMT for AMR and also a Firefighter for the City of Bridgeport, Connecticut. He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife Mrs. Rosetta Danielle Walton of West Haven, CT, 2 sons James A. Conners of Detroit, MI, Travis J. Walton of Stratford, 1 Step son Dana Young of West Haven, 3 daughters Shavona L. Choice of Bridgeport, Zyasia R. Walton of West Haven, Tiffany R. Walton of Stratford, 1 Step daughter, Tatyana D. Young of West Haven, 3 brothers, Troy Stokes ( Lateia ) of Detroit, MI, John Stokes of New York, Garrett N. Walton ( Charna) of Bridgeport, 1 Grandson, Zaire and 1 Granddaughter Jada, and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Tony was predeceased by 1 sister, Venue Stokes of Detroit, MI. Jay you are gone but not forgotten. Funeral Services are 11:00 AM Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Messiah Baptist Church, 210 Congress Street, Bridgeport, Connecticut. The Family will receive guest during the Viewing from 9:00 AM until time of Services at the Church; and Interment at Mt Grove Cemetery, 2675 North Avenue, Bridgeport with Military Honors.
