Geneve Smellie Obituary (1921

Geneve (Mother) Smellie, The Lord called our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Aunt home on October 7, 2008 where she now walks the streets of gold with Him. Mother Smellie, 87 years young, was born to Ernest and Matilda Smellie August 25, 1921, in St. Mary, Jamaica, West Indies. A faithful member of Ebenezer Gospel Assembly for more than 20 years under the leadership of Rev. Thomas Hayes, Sr., until her relocation to North Carolina in 2007 where she joined the Mt. Nebo Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Lawrence Norris. She loved the Lord with all her heart serving Him till the very end. Her favorite pastime was praising God. She is remembered by her smile of welcome. We will celebrate the life of Mother Smellie, please join us for this wonderful celebration. All are welcome.
