Ferrer Loiseau Jr. Obituary (1969

Our beloved Woody suffered with Huntington disease for years and took his last breath on Saturday, September 1, 2018. Ferrer (Woody) Loiseau Jr., was born on January 5, 1969 in Brooklyn, New York and the eldest child of the late Mr. Ferrer Loiseau & Mrs. Solange Stephen Loiseau. He was a pure joy to the family especially to his memere , aunts and uncles that helped care for him. At his mothers request, the family moved to Ption-Ville, Haiti in 1974. Woody was raised in the Catholic Church where the family attended weekly Mass services at L'eglise St. Pierre . He started his early education at Les Freres de l'instruction Chretienne and College Roger Anglade. When the family later moved back to the family home on Carroll Street in Brooklyn, NYC he graduated from Sarah J. Hale high school. At a very young age he always showed interest in driving cars. Even though he did not receive any formal training and education about cars somehow he developed great knowledge and was able to tell all the ins and outs of any make/model car. He worked as a parking attendant in Manhattan where he would test drive and park all type of exotic cars. He would also drive a cab as way to earn extra cash and take care of his family. Woody favorite time spent was celebrating birthdays and family reunions. His spare time would be spent at his cousins and friends mechanic shop, going to car auctions, playing his weekly lottery games and occasionally playing his favorite card game of poker; always with the hopes and dreams of winning big. Woody took great pride and responsibilities for his sons and dedicated his life to care for his family and close friends. We will cherish his memory and will certainly miss his contagious smile, sweet charm, kind loving spirit and delightful sense of humor. Ferrer is survived by his two sons Daryl Loiseau & Jonathan Loiseau; his two brothers Stanley Loiseau & Randolf Loiseau; his two sisters Ruth Loiseau and Elizabeth Loiseau Noel; three nieces Jessica Medenard, Anaya Solange Loiseau & Mia Symone Loiseau; and an abundance of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends. Thanks to the family of Pierre Charles, Desprinvil, Dossoux, and Rene Loiseau. We especially thank his care taker Arma Lodge, daughter Dawn and family that helped care for Woody until his death.
