Ernest J Dash

Ernest J. Dash, 73 of Norwalk departed this life Thursday, October 9, 2008 at Norwalk Hospital. He was born December 27, 1934 to the late Elder and Mabel Garner Dash in Elloree, South Carolina. He was the husband of Rachel Hilliard Dash.
Ernest attended Elloree Public schools and at an early age, he joined the Granger Baptist Church in Elloree, South Carolina. He later moved to Norwalk, Connecticut where he resided until his death.
He worked for the Norwalk Public School for many years and in December of 2000, he retired as a custodian after more than15 years of hard work.
In addition to his wife Rachel Dash of 51 years; left to cherish his memories are two sons, Larry Dash, Stockholm, Sweden; Kenneth Dash, Norwalk, Connecticut; and one daughter, Demetria Dash, Norwalk, Connecticut; three brothers Robert (Alma) Dash, Teaneck, New Jersey; James (Dorothy) Dash, Elloree, South Carolina; Charles (Martha) Dash, Bridgeport, Connecticut; Two sisters Dorothy Snider, Elloree, South Carolina; Betty Dash, Atlanta, Georgia; eight grandchildren Josiah Brown, Dashaun Wells, Tizer Roberson, Elijah Dash, Aliyah Dash, Jessica Dash, Julia Dash, and Michael Dash, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Ernest was pre-deceased by his parents Elder and Mabel Dash; one brother, Rayford Dash; and five sisters Maggie Dash; Patricia Dash; Irish Dash, Ruby Zeigler, Ceila Williams.

Funeral Services are 11:00AM Friday, October 17, 2008 at Calvary Baptist Church, 21 Concord Street Norwalk; Viewing is 10:00 AM until time of Services at the Church and Interment at St. John Cemetery, Richards Avenue in Norwalk.
