Edward Mc Intyre

Edward McIntyre known to many as (Too Tall, T and Ed) was born February 21st 1954 to Raymond Sr. and Mary Lee McIntyre, in Georgia, Alabama. Ed was the fourth of eight siblings. He moved to Connecticut at the age of seven and attended Stamford Public Schools.

During his years at Stamford high school he participated and excelled at basketball where he received the award as Top Rebounder! He led his team to the state tournament which provided him an athletic scholarship to the prestigious University of New Haven. Where he acquired his business and entrepreneurial mindset to obtain several businesses such as a boutique in Bridgeport Connecticut named Especially For You. He also owned and ran his home improvement contractor business.

Edward joined and was baptized at Shiloh Seventh-day Adventist Church in Cincinnati Ohio. To his family and friends Edward was a jokester, funny and always willing to give a helping hand he always spoke kind words about his nieces and nephews and was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

Edward died on June 11th 2020 in Norwich Connecticut. He is survived by his brother Jerry, Tommy (Vicky), Shawn and sister Renee (Carnell) Jordan and a very special sister-in-law Theresa Scates. Two Aunts Margaret Bonner of Montgomery Alabama and Murl Simpson of Cleveland Ohio and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and Friends. Edward was predeceased by his parents Raymond Sr. and Mary Lee McIntyre, sister Linda Asberry and two brothers Raymond Jr. and Marvin McIntyre.
