Easter Mae Byrd Obituary (1918

Easter Mae Byrd a long life resident of Bridgeport, CT, passed on September 18, 2016 at the Genesis Health Care Residence (St. Josephs Center) in Trumbull, CT, where she resided since 2011. Easter was born on June 3, 1918 in Savannah, GA to late Heorne and Beulah Laster. In 1949, Easter migrated to Bridgeport, where she was employed with Goodwill Industries and retired after several decades. She was a Missionary and served on the Pastors Aid at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Easter loved life, her family and the many friends she acquired in her Beloved Bridgeport. She leaves to mourn her passing: her cousins, Bessie Allgood, Rosemary Kennedy, James Allgood, Ronald Allgood, Janet Stephens, Kimberly Allgood, Deborah Middleton Allgood and a host of family and friends. A private service will be held in New York City.
