Earnestine Hudson Mouzon Obituary (1944

Earnestine Hudson Mouzon, 73, entered into eternal rest peacefully at Norwalk Hospital on Monday, January 1, 2018. She was born on April 21, 1944 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina to the late Pete Hudson and Isabel Hudson Smith. Earnestine received her education from the Public School System of Rocky Mount, NC and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. She relocated to Norwalk, Connecticut in 1941 to be with her siblings. Earnestine became employed by various companies like the Meyers Handbag Company, Dooney & Burke and the YMCA. Earnestine found her spiritual covenant at the Canaan Institutional Baptist Church in the mid-90's. She became very engaged in ministry seeking to fulfill her spiritual relationship with God. She became active and very committed to the Missionary Ministry serving in various capacities including serving as the President. She had a tremendous love and compassion for her Church and Church family. Earnestine was well known for her love of cooking and entertaining family and friends. Her famous dish was macaroni and cheese, which she knew was untouchable. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: two sons, Milton Earl Hudson of Norwalk, CT and Maurice Hudson of Waterbury, CT; one daughter Barbara Ann Zinga Hudson of Rocky Mount, NC; three sisters, Annie Kelly and Alice Hudson both of Norwalk, CT and Edna Grimsley of Waterbury, CT; one brother, Jean Thomas Hudson of Florence, SC; ten grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
