Curtis Lee Hamer Obituary (1953

CURTIS LEE HAMER, returned to God on Saturday, August 30, 2008 in Atlanta, GA. He was born on June 8, 1953, in Stamford, CT. He was the second child born to the late Marcella and Carrie (Inez) McLellan Hamer. He graduated from Stamford High in 1971, and then later relocated to Atlanta where he worked in construction and retired as a Mover at Professional Packing/Moving Company. He is survived by his daughter, Tandra T. Hamer and one grandson, Nicolaus (DC) Wilburn, both of Atlanta, GA; 4 Uncles, Alexander Hamer, Sr. of Washington, DC; Jeremiah McLellan, Sr. and Nehemiah McLellan both of Stamford, CT; and Jake Cooper of Bridgeport, CT; 3 Aunts, Hattie M. Frye, Margaret A. Moore, and Buelah Covington of Washington, DC; 1 niece, LaShawnda Jones; 1 nephew, Johnnie Jones, Jr., and 1 brother-in-law, Louis Paul and a host of cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, 1 brother Marvin Hamer and 1 sister Marsha Ann Hamer Paul, predeceased Curtis. LAST ONE STANDING Curtis was very well liked and loved. He will be missed by ALL. Memorial Services are 10:00 AM 12:00 Noon Saturday, October 18, 2008 at Baker-Isaac Funeral Services, 985 Stratford Avenue, Bridgeport, Connecticut with Dr. Kristine Faulk Miles Officiating.
