Cora Lee Wills Peele Obituary (1940

Cora was born October 18, 1940 to the late Nathan Earl and Lillie Bell Wills in Alberta, Alabama. She was educated in the Wilcox County School System and became member of Payne Chapel AME Church at an early age. After graduating from school she moved to Florida for a brief period of time before settling in Stamford, CT where she worked for Carlan for 11 years and 21 years at Pitney Bowes. She became a member of Bethel AME Church in Stamford where she served as Stewardess and as a member of the Rosemary Floral Club. Cora met her loving husband of 55 years, George E. Peele in Stamford, CT and raised her children before retiring to Williamston, North Carolina where she volunteered for Meals on Wheels and became a member of Chapel Hill Church until her homegoing.
