Clarence Edward Bridgeforth, Sr. Obituary (1949

Clarence Edward Bridgeforth Sr., age 67, died peacefully on November 25, 2016, at Bridgeport Hospital, with his loving family by his side. He was born on April 4, 1949 in Bridgeport to the late Ernest "Sunny" Bridgeforth and Lillie Patton. Clarence was a longtime resident of Bridgeport; he grew up in the North End and was well known. He was educated in the Bridgeport school system. He loved playing basketball and would challenge anyone to a game. He enjoyed watching football, baseball, wrestling, basketball and playing cards. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Clarence is survived by his three daughters, Clarissa "Lady" Bridgeforth of Ocala, FL, Tashanika "Tasha" (Rafael) Jones of West Haven and Mandisa Cato of Bridgeport; two sons, Rolf Johnson of CT and William (Toshie) Hawkins of Bridgeport; nineteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Emma Bridgeforth, Debbie Lee and Charlene Anderson; four brothers, Ralph, Preston and Robert Anderson and Delbert Lee; three special friends, Verletha Simmons, Edna Bridegforth and Ronda Crumpton, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his two sons, Clarence Bridgeforth Jr. and Terrence Bridgeforth Sr.; and his brother, Henry Bridgeforth.
