Cherisse Lynn Keitt Obituary (1968

Cherisse Lynn Keitt age 52, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 26, 2020. Cherisse Lynn Keitt was born on May 24, 1968 in Stamford, CT to Harriet J. Burgess Myles of Stamford, CT and Alrick Fitgerald Myless III of New York. Cherisse was preceded in death by her grand mother Blanche Burgess, father Alrick Myles, step father Daniel Clayborne and nephew Kyles Myles. Cherisse is survived by her children Kierra Keitt and Michael Keitt. Her mother Harriet Myles brothers Ricky Myles and Andre Myles, Aunts; Delores Bentley, Joyce Dimmick, Mimi Burgess and Delores Walker. Uncles; Robert Burgess and Brian Dimmick and numerous cousins and friends. Cherisse attended and graduated from Brien McMahon high school after she attended Norwalk Community College. Cherisse loved her family and friends and would go out of her way for them. She loved to travel, especially to the blue waters of the islands where she would swim but woudn't forgo time in Aunt Mimi's pool. She loved cooking for her family and was a spectacular chef. Every summer she would take all the nephews for the entirety and provide a summer full of fun. Her mother say to her Cherisse, " I love thee to the depth and breadth and height my soul can reach.... I love thee with the breath, smiles and tears of all my life and if God choose, I shall but love thee better after death". (Elizabeth Barrett Browning). Cherisse will be missed by all who knew her, who speak of her beautiful loving,gracious spirit. Her warm smile and great humor would light up a room the second she walked in. She truly was a scholar, goofball and friend to everyone she met. Such an ambitious person with a heart of gold will not be forgotten. Her Creative and free spirited ways changed the mindset of many. Even though she was sick for a very long time no one ever stopped praying or thinking about her. All those years of love and hope gave her strength to continue fighting and gave her comfort. Now she will love on with you all. Thank you for the love and support you have shown the Keitt/Myles family all these years. Every blanket, birthday card, flower, teddy bear, hot meal and shoulder to cry on does not go unnoticed. We love you all so much. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2020 at 11:00 AM, Baker Funeral Services, 84 South Main Street, Norwalk, CT. Family will receive guest from 10:00 AM until time of service at the chapel. Interment will take place at Lakeview Crematory.
