Brontie E Miller Obituary (1947

Brontie Elise Miller, 73, of Norwalk, entered eternal rest on November 30, 2020. She is survived by her three children, who she devoted her life to, Kaywana and Keishana Miller and Natasha (Daniel) Collins. Also her husband of 40+ years James Bruce Miller, her grandchildren who she cared for deeply and helped to take care of, Nadiya Lim, Jeremiah LeClaire and Desmond Collins, and her siblings Hilarine Parris, Elvira "Consie" Slader, John (Janis) Roberts and Edgar Hendrickson Sr. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews that considered her to be a 2nd mother, extended family around the world, friends, former coworkers and her beloved Calvary Baptist Church community. Brontie was born to the late Elaine Roberts and the late Ambrose Moses in Basseterre, St. Kitts on March 28, 1947. As a young girl she was heavily involved in the church and that carried on into her adulthood. She migrated to the states in her 20s and took advantage of a job opportunity to clean houses and nanny in New York City. She eventually landed a job at the Regional Center in Norwalk, CT where she would work for over 30 years taking care of people with disabilities until she retired at age 60. She showed up at the job everyday until they offered her a position. She worked double shifts often but always made sure she made time for her family. She enjoyed shopping, couponing, chatting on the phone with friends, hosting family gatherings, eating desserts, singing in the church choir and feeding everyone that walked into her home. Her loved ones will miss her hugs, laughter, giving nature, strong opinions and macaroni and cheese. In her final days she wanted everyone to know "I love you all and I'll see you in Heaven." Due to the restrictions imposed by the state, services will be by invitation only. The service will be live streamed via zoom so we can all safely mourn the loss of this beautiful soul together...but separately.
