Arleathia Jones Obituary (1925

Arleathia Jones, age 85, born on June 10, 1925, departed this life and entered into the eternal doors of Heaven on Wednesday, May 30, 2012. She was a native of Camden, SC; one of eight children born to the late Tiller and Besty Jones. Arleathia attended the Kirkland Grammar School in Camden, SC. She spent the early part of her life on the White Oak Baptist Church Farm. Later she met and married the late Johnnie Watts and was faithful to him until he departed this life. Arleathia committed to serving the Lord from an early age. Upon receiving the Lord, she attended the White oak Baptist Church in Camden, SC. Her commitment and love for people landed her in a position for many years working as a Patient Assistant in caring for the elderly. Due to an extended illness, in October of 1995, Arleathia moved to Connecticut to be with her loving, devoted, and caring sister, Alice Boyd. She still continued to maintain a love for cooking, family, gatherings, and Good Old Gospel Music. Her love for Christ found her regularly attending the Canaan Institutional Baptist Church where she continued to enjoy the Lord. Arlethia took great joy in knowing and being under the loving care of her sister Alice during her extended illness. Mother Boyd spent numerous hours nurturing Arleathia and providing devoted care. She leaves to cherish her loving memories her faithful sister, Alice J. Boyd of Norwalk, CT; three nephews, Clifton (Sharon) Boyd of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, Lionel (Eileen) Boyd of New Haven, CT, and Allen (Deadra) Jones of Raleigh, NC; one great nephew, Timmy Boyd of Norwalk, CT; two great-great nephews, Nassira and Timothy Boyd, Jr. of Leasvsaw, GA; as well as a host of Cousins, other relatives and friends.
