Anna Mae Carpenter

Anna Mae Carpenter, age 84, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at her residence in Stratford, CT. Born on February 3, 1930 in New Rochelle, New York to the late George and Rebecca Holmes Maddox.

Anna was employed as a CNA at Silver Manor in Bridgeport, CT, from which she retired. Anna was always there for her family and friends. If anybody ever needed anything she would always make sure that she made a way to provide it for them. Anna will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Anna is survived by, 4 sons, Timothy McDowell, Todd McDowell both of Stratford, CT, Rocky (Sheryl) McDowell of West Haven, CT, and Glenn McDowell of Arizona; 2 daughters, Linda (partner Eric) McDowell of Stratford, CT, and Stephanie McDowell of South Carolina; 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She was predeceased by, her husband, Carl Carpenter; children, Louie, Donnie, Guy, and Cordella McDowell; and ex-husband, Louie McDowell.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 12:00 PM at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 165 Logan Street, Bridgeport, CT 06607. Friends may greet the family from 11:00 AM until time of service. Rev. Dr. Sulton Stack will be officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
