Ronnie Brayboy Jr., affectionally known as “Ronnell” and “Big Ron” of Bridgeport entered into eternal rest on January 28, 2014, after a long illness. Ronnie was born in Baltimore, Maryland on October 9, 1957 to Ronnie and Mildred Brayboy Sr. Ronnie accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior on January 8,2014. “Praise God”. Ronnie, attended East Side Middle School and was a graduate of Warren Harding High School. Ronnie , was also a member of the Harding President’s football and track teams. In addition, he attended Johnson C. Smith College in Charlotte, North Carolina. Ronnie was employed by the City of Bridgeport Board of Education. He started as a substitute teacher and then became a security officer, for over 25 years. Ronnie was known for his kindness, generous spirit and emaculate kept Cadillac. He had a great love for children, cars and clothes. Ronnie was a strong and proud man whose strength was admired by many. Ronnie, leaves to cherish his memory, devoted parents Bishop and Mrs. Ronnie Brayboy Sr., his devoted siblings, Mona L. Brayboy of Bridgeport,CT. and Irma J. (Mychael) Ross of Hamden, one brother; Leon G (Doreen) Brayboy of Kanagawa, Japan and a special friend Ms.Gladys Rodriquez of Bridgeport, CT, and W. Murphy a family friend. Ronnie,(Uncle) will be sorely missed by his special nieces and nephews DaWanda (Shannon), Stephen (Shayla), Jeffrey, Jamar, Myc’Kala, MarQuesta, Jalia., great nieces and nephews, Taj’Mani, Shannon, Cameron, Maleeha and Payton. In addition, he will be missed by his aunts, uncle, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends of lives he has touched. Friends may greet the family on Saturday, February 1, 2014 from 10:00 A.M. at House of God Community Church 994 Stratford Avenue, Bridgeport, CT. with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Park Cemetery.
